Blue Moon(s)

A chance meeting in a pub, and there was a Blue Moon sort of looking guy just lurking there - and I just happened to have Blue Moon on me! Actually I am sure the chances of randomly encountering someone in such a fashion are vanishingly small, but this was pre-arranged and we sat down to learn Blue Moon.
After starting with the Hoax and Vulca to learn the rules, we then tried out some of the folk that I haven't used yet. Iain took the Pillar, and I the Khind. It all seemed to be going well for the Khind, who ganged up in the approved fashion, but the Pillar had a seemingly inexhaustible supply of Caterpillar boosters that forced unwelcome discards, and after a see-saw battle, Iain was one dragon ahead at the end.
Next up was the Mimix and the Flit, which resulted in a resounding thrashing for the Flit (me) as the Mimix kept coming in pairs, and had just enough Support cards to prevent the Flit getting their own Paired cards working. This was the first time the Mimix have been used and they seemed very effective in recycling their discards back into their hand, and searching the deck for their pairs.
Blue Moon does leave one wanting more after each session - how would the Khind manage against the Mimix, or what about the Terrah vs. the Pillar, or even a first to 5 points with the same decks...
Great stuff.

Thanks for the game. I really enjoyed both playing it and meeting you. I'm looking forward to the rematch, although I doubt I will be able to keep my lucky streak going. :)
